Venue
The conference will be held at the Sheraton Waikiki in Honolulu.
The Sheraton Waikiki is located right on the water, with all ACSAC attendees receiving oceanfront rooms. Hundreds of restaurants and stores from the basic to high-end can be found within a few blocks. The hotel was completely remodeled in 2008 and 2009, with completion just a few months ago. To take advantage of the beautiful surroundings and climate, our Tuesday reception and Wednesday luau (complete with traditional Polynesian entertainment) will be held outdoors on the hotel lawn, less than 100 feet from the water's edge.
For guests looking for more economical accommodations, ACSAC also has a room block at the Princess Kaiulani (also a Sheraton hotel), just two blocks away.
Reservations
Registering for the Conference does not reserve a room. The best way to reserve your room is to visit the ACSAC 2009 Hotel Reservation Page (this is a specific hotel registration page for ACSAC). You can call the Sheraton Waikiki Hotel Reservation Department at 808-921-4611 or 800-782-9488, or the Princess Kaiulani at 866-500-8313. You must ask for the ANNUAL COMPUTER SECURITY APPLICATIONS CONFERENCE (ACSAC) rate when making your reservation. When making your reservation, you must provide the hotel with the following information:
- Guest name
- Home or business address
- Requested type of room
- Requested bed type (i.e., king, queen/queen)
- Check-in and check-out dates
- Hotel name (Sheraton Waikiki or Princess Kaiulani)
Most rooms at the Sheraton Waikiki and Princess Kaiulani are non-smoking; be sure to request if you have a preference. Any requests for special room arrangements must be made at the time of your reservation. Note that the hotel does not confirm reservations to the individual in writing.
Rooms at the Sheraton Waikiki (all rooms oceanfront) are at the government per diem rate of $177 plus Excise tax (4.712%) and Transient Accommodation Tax (8.25%).
Rooms at the Princess Kaiulani (two blocks away, ocean view but not on the water) are $150 for single/double, or $210 for triple/quad, plus Excise tax (4.712%) and Transient Accommodation Tax (8.25%).
Room rates are available three (3) days prior and three (3) days after the conference, subject to availability.
In the event that a guest who has reserved a guest room within Group's guest room block checks out prior to the guest's reserved checkout date, an early departure fee of one half of room rate will be charged to that guest's individual account. Guests wishing to avoid this fee must advise Hotel at or before check-in of any change in the scheduled length of stay.
These rates are available only until November 13, 2009, so make your reservations early. Note that cancellations must be made prior to 72 hours to the arrival date in order to avoid a first nights room and tax cancellation penalty. In addition, early departures are charged 50% of the unused room nights.
