Excursion to the Arecibo Observatory (Radio Telescope)

This year's Friday afternoon event is a visit to the Arecibo Observatory, the second largest radio telescope in the world. Arecibo has a self-guided tour that includes exhibits, a movie, a talk from a tour guide, and viewing of the telescope from the observation deck. Transportation will be provided to and from the observatory. Buses will depart the hotel promptly at 12:30pm (about 90 minutes to Arecibo). The buses will return from the tour about 5:00-5:30pm.

Cost is $85, which includes bus transportation, admission fees, and a box lunch.
