Abstract:
The research community has been concerned with diversity for years, and researchers have been encouraged to consider it through requirements such as NSF’s broader impacts review criteria for research proposals. But how are we really doing as a community? How inclusive is the security research community specifically? What are we doing well, and how can we improve? This panel will ask these questions (and more!) of panelists, asking them to draw on their personal experiences and reflect on the community as a whole to bring suggestions for concrete steps we can take to improve diversity and inclusion.
