Abstract: As manufacturing systems are increasingly becoming a target of attack, the need for security designs and controls that enable the verification and validation of the different stages of the manufacturing and supply chain processes is imperative. In this panel, we will discuss the current cybersecurity challenges and opportunities for developing and enhancing manufacturing systems, while considering the criticality of different industry sectors.  Specifically, the panel will take into consideration industry-specific constraints and requirements such as safety, energy efficiency, and costs.
