Abstract: In today’s information age, critical decision-making depends on access to accurate and trustworthy information. New technological advances enable highly-convincing, manipulated information to reach vast audiences around the world at an unprecedented speed. This undermines public trust in the integrity of information and can have potentially devastating consequences. Protecting the integrity of the information ecosystem is a complex social and technical problem. This panel will discuss Federal Government's research efforts and priorities in this area.
