BoF: Cybersecurity Experimentation "Artifacts Party" (We Want Your Artifacts!!)

Friday, 10 December 2021
14:45 - 16:00

Organizers:
Laura Tinnel and David Balenson, SRI International; Terry Benzel and Jelena Mirkovic, University of Southern California, Information Sciences Institute; Eric Eide, University of Utah; David Emmerich, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign

Abstract:
We invite all researchers to BYoB (beverage!), BYoA (artifacts!) and participate in this Birds of a Feather (BoF) session, where we will crowd-source importing your research artifacts into the SEARCCH catalog.

What is SEARCCH, you ask? The Sharing Expertise and Artifacts for Reuse through Cybersecurity Community Hub project, or SEARCCH, is an NSF-funded open collaboration platform that lowers the barrier to sharing  and reusing research artifacts (see https://searcch.cyberexperimentation.org). Think of SEARCCH as a Google-like search engine with added community features and a bit of Wikipedia thrown in for good measure. And it's all tailored specifically to cybersecurity experimentation and our community. SEARCCH helps researchers share experiment designs, code, data, and other research artifacts in an easier and more meaningful way that facilitates others quickly finding artifacts that may be useful to them.

Please join us on Friday afternoon, right after the ACSAC conference close and see what it's all about!
